This week I spent a day in Manhattan to take in all the timeless majesty, the silver bells nostalgia that New York–the city of my birth and life–radiates at Christmas time.
I understand New York and it understands me and it’s like the zillion others making the rounds at the sites aren’t really there. It’s me and New York and a friend I was revealing the wonders to.

But then, in a waltz through the Metropolitan Museum

    This article is very enlightening. I like the way you think, as I too will look at an object and it’s as though I go into warp drive backwards, imaging what this was used for or how did this or that person live. Very good article.
