What will happen tomorrow? There isn’t a single person in the world who knows for sure. As humans, we fly around in the fog, hoping for the miracles, praying to avoid the plagues.

We laud ourselves as intelligent creatures but in reality we know hardly a thing. And yet day after day, meeting after meeting, I talk with people who want certainty. Even worse than demanding and expecting it, they delude themselves into believing they can have it.

In many ways, there is nothing more dangerous than “making progress.”

In many ways it is a failure that wears the camouflage of success. We become hypnotized, sometimes intoxicated, by the fact that we are moving forward but the goal is NOT to achieve momentum, it is to win.

From birth, we are all told the things we cannot or should not do.
Interesting, but these warnings, of sort, often come before and with greater vehemence, then the advice on what we can and should aspire to.

We are all in search of rewards and awards. Money, fame, power, honor, recognition.

Some admit it more readily than others. Some find the need to camouflage it.

But the quest is universal.

Life is a delicious and dangerous paradox.
Allow me to put this in perspective. Of sorts.
Successful people generally want one or both: money and/or power. And they pursue them. Often both simulstaneously.
If life is good, and God smiles on them, they achieve both. In the vast majority of cases this is so because they are smart [...]
