It’s all due to the Cancer Of Power. Take someone, nearly anyone, and put them on a throne, and those who pass by will tell you they are a genius. How many men and women worship every word Prince Charles utters even though this man, this entire family, its centuries of power notwithstanding, has never accomplished a single thing.

Indelible is a word we don’t use much anymore. But we should. In business and in life in general, it has a power and a permanence that presides over the buzz words and concepts of the moment that roll in and out like the waves at Coney Island. (Which, if you have ever been there, you know is indelible.)

We are all in search of rewards and awards. Money, fame, power, honor, recognition.

Some admit it more readily than others. Some find the need to camouflage it.

But the quest is universal.

Everywhere I go, I see them. In the manufacturing plants, the retail stores, the HQ buildings and the boardrooms. People at all levels of the business hierarchy seeking one thing: Not profit. Not quallity. Not breakthroughs.
Just power. Raw power. Power for the sake of power. Power to have dominance over others. Power for stature. Power [...]

Life is a delicious and dangerous paradox.
Allow me to put this in perspective. Of sorts.
