Writing AdviceWhen you write a book, the publishers always want to weigh its quality by the pound. They want big, thick books–lots of pages and words– because they believe in some form of fuzzy, ancient, pre-digital age logic, that people judge value by heft. They don’t judge ideas or inspiration. Instead, they look at the way the manuscript tips the scales (or heaven forbid, fails to).

    I could not agree more! I am so tired of having dig my way through hundreds of pages of drivel to find the promised nuggets. Not only is it tiring, it’s boring and waste of time. If you have something to say, say it and move on.

    We have lost the art of getting to the point. Gone with fluff/with window dressing.
