    Hi Mark,

I talked with you about 6 months ago and was considering flying out to meet with you and your company on how to jump start my new venture. We are almost 2 years old now and profitable for the last 5 months!

The right marketing aide, hook, catch and it just turns things around like magic. Would you believe a book? Yes my first book will be out in November featuring my work…www.gallery-portraits.com, and featuring many “new faces” that competed to be featured in the book and win the cover. (100 and still going new clients in 3 months…:)

Of course its only a direct to print deal or a POD that will sell on amazon and borders.com..but its a start and my clients don’t seem to care. Thanks for the pep talk, and a great book…(your marketing sucks). I’ll send you a copy of the book to see what you think….

    Very best regards,

I found your statement “Everything else is going through the motions” especially interesting. Why? Because it seems everyone is going with the flow. Why not? It’s the easiest thing to do. But with this, I get very impatient because with everyone moving in one direction, it is EXTREMELY difficult to swim against the current, especially when you really don’t have any say in the matter. I am not a CEO or even a manager of any sort, and it’s really tough to just get my ideas heard much less implemented.

I am, to put it short, the one and only graphics coordinator in a multi-million dollar corporation. Graphics are not my only responsibility. I am also a key member in market analysis and new product development. This is huge! My problem is that I feel like I am the only member of my team that can stay “out of the box”. Well, I’ve been pulled in a few times… but I try to snap out of it! We have so many limitations it seems. I don’t want to be blinded by limitations, but I feel that I have no choice. I can keep my mind as wide open as I want, but if everyone else is clouded by limitations, my ideas are shot down before they can even take flight.

It’s funny, because I’m only talking about my career, and not world medicine or how to transform lightning into a complete energy source. I guess this is how we all get stuck in the current, huh?
