Why America Doesn’t Want To Be America Anymore

Being an American was always a glowing badge of honor. Something no one else in the world could duplicate. Not even come close to.

But it was never easy. It required thought, self reliance, independence, dreams, inspiration and the acceptance of personal responsibility.

Until recently, that was precisely the way Americans wanted it. Easy wasn’t in our lexicon. In fact, we didn’t trust it. We recognized it for the bear trap it was. And most of all, we preferred to do it ourselves. That’s the bedrock our pride was built on.

But sad to say, America doesn’t want to be America anymore. Now a majority of us prefer to:

*Operate under the deception that the government–that inept swarm of zombiecrats–can and should take care of us.

*Sit back and watch others pursue success with relentless determination and then once they achieve it, demonize them for it. And furthermore demand that they pay more than half they have earned to the protection racket called state and local government.

*Let the Russians dominate space and be content to hitchhike a ride whenever Putin can extort a military concession in exchange.

*Ignore the substantive issues that should be the intellectual grist for presidential campaigns and instead see who is offering the biggest bag of free condoms. Healthcare. Food. College tuition.

*Toss out the constitution on the basis that it is an aged document created by a clique of old men.

*Deny that there is anything exceptional about America, in fact demonize her and set our sites on that stellar model called Greece.

*Blame everything on racism. Even though there isn’t a single non-self imposed racial barrier in the nation.

*Lead the world in whining and hand wringing.

*Relinquish global leadership to the cesspool known as the U.N.

*Fill our public schools with anti-American propaganda masquerading as textbooks.

*Refuse to say the word “terrorism” and instead of fighting it, simply declare victory and go back to funding National Public Radio and embracing the mainstream hacks to make sure no one let’s the truth out.

The fact is, a majority of this once great nation has decided to sit back, demonize success, detest the red, white and blue and just reach out and push the easy button.

It is the most profound loss in history.

    Mark,

Well said. I am so frustrated watching the America I love slip into the shadows of socialist irrelevance. We have abdicated the freedom so many have bled for throughout our history. We label good productive men who have created jobs as “liars and scoundrels” while knowingly backing men who are proven “liars, scoundrels, thug socialists”. We traded a chance at returning ethical leadership to our country for ear candy and pipe dreams.

I am disgusted to see a man who purposefully abandoned our men in Bhengazi while standing by, and who is now actively stealing away all of our civil liberties and property ownership rights whilst carry the flag of civil liberties. American’s have lost the ability to see reality and truth. We are so buried in fantasy and special effects that we don’t know how to discern what is real.

Our Presidency has lost its legitimacy, our economy is driving of a literal cliff, the President and his cronies are loading every ridiculous socialist program onto the people that we cannot afford, and our Free Press is now nothing but a now blatant state run propaganda machine. Goebles and Stalin could only dream of the hold on power, propaganda, and media that Obama has now. Rome is burning. I am disheartened to watch and live through the twilight of a great society.

Thanks for sharing, I just wish what you said wasn’t so true. Sadly, you have it 100% accurate.

Well said indeed, but the truth hurts so much, it leaves me in tears. I also get indignant watching where the youth of America is going–no purpose, no goals, no drive… My family moved to the US to enjoy the freedoms this country offers, and the ability succeed here is next to none. Unfortunately those who were privileged to have been born here, do not see what they have, and maybe won’t until it is late.
